Collection hours for orders
Open “Ardoiza Orders”, then “Settings”. Scroll down to “Collection hours by day”.
- Each day takes two time ranges at most: for example lunchtime and evening.
- Leave a day empty to close it.
- The time slots offered to your customers follow from these hours.
Time slots and order amounts
On the same screen, the “Time slots and amounts” section sets the pace of your kitchen.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Interval between time slots | The gap between two collection times offered, in minutes |
| Minimum preparation time | For a same-day order, slots that are too close are hidden |
| How far ahead customers can order | How many days ahead a customer can order |
| Minimum order amount | Leave 0 for no minimum |
| Maximum order amount | Above it, the online order is refused and the customer is asked to phone you. €500 by default, 0 for no cap |
| Review threshold | From this amount, the order is flagged “Needs review” and waits for you to accept it. €150 by default, 0 for no flag |
| Maximum quantity per line | The cap for the same dish in one order |
Under “Service”, the “Take orders on the website” box opens or closes ordering in one go. The “Message when ordering is closed” is then shown to your customers.
Also fill in the “Restaurant phone number”. It is given to your customers in the messages that ask them to phone you. Ardoiza Bookings has the same setting.
Under “Notifications”, check the “Email address for incoming orders”. That is where each new order is announced to you.
Booking hours and capacity
Open “Ardoiza Bookings”, then “Settings”.
- Opening hours by day: two time ranges at most per day, empty to close.
- Time slots and capacity: the length of a slot, the capacity per time slot in guests, the minimum and maximum party size, and how far ahead guests can book.
- Capacity per time slot: a different cap on guests for a specific time. Leave empty to keep the general capacity.
- Automatic confirmation: tick the box to confirm bookings without you having to approve them.
- My venue has a terrace: when this box is ticked, the booking form lets customers choose between indoors and the terrace. This choice remains a preference, with no guarantee. With the Menu plan, the same box is in “My menu”, under “Table booking”.
Under “Emails”, choose which messages are sent: acknowledgement, confirmation or decline, and a reminder the day before. Enter the “Restaurant owner's email (notifications)” to be told about each request.
Closures
Open “Ardoiza Bookings”, then “Closures”. There are four types:
- Whole day: a bank holiday, private hire;
- Time range: part of a day, for example from 10:00 to 12:00;
- Period (holidays): from the first to the last closed day, inclusive;
- Single slot: one time only, the rest of the day stays open.
The slots concerned disappear from the booking form straight away. The reason is optional: it is there as a reminder for you.
Pausing orders and bookings
Rush in the kitchen? You can switch off online ordering or booking requests without touching your opening hours. In the ARDOIZA Pro app, open the Orders or Bookings tab, or Settings. “Pause” suspends new requests for 30 minutes, 1, 2 or 3 hours, or until tonight. You can add an optional message for your customers. While paused, your menu stays visible. Any new order, booking or promo code is declined, with your message and your phone number. The pause ends by itself at the planned time, or earlier with “Resume”. The same setting exists in WordPress, in the “Pause” block of each plugin's settings (0.13.0 or later). To close a specific service on a given date, use the closures above instead.
Promotions and promo codes
Open “Ardoiza Orders”, then “Promotions”. A promotion is a code your customer enters in the summary of their order.
- Choose the code, for example WELCOME10. Upper or lower case, the customer can type it either way.
- Give it an internal name: only you can see it.
- Choose the type of discount: a percentage of the subtotal, or a fixed amount in euros.
- If needed, set a minimum order, a validity period and a usage limit.
- Tick “Active promotion (customers can use it)”, then click “Create promotion”.
The discount never exceeds the order amount. Your website recalculates it for each order: a customer cannot change it.
Anti-abuse limits
Your website protects itself against bursts of orders and bookings. There is nothing for you to set.
- The same IP address can make at most 10 order attempts per hour, and the same number of booking attempts.
- The same email address or phone number can place at most 3 orders per hour and 10 per day. The same rule applies to bookings.
- Above that, your customer is asked to try again later.
Is your website served through Cloudflare? Tick “Real address behind Cloudflare”, in the “Anti-spam” part of the settings. Otherwise, all your customers share the same limit.
The order button and the booking button
Both “Settings” screens end with the button shown on your website: its label and its appearance. The pages created by the setup assistant do not need it: they show the full widget.
